Spain

The Dissemination event was organized on 04/02/2023 at the Egeria Desarrollo Social office which is situated in a coworking center called El Carmen Hub in Málaga city center. Young people from Málaga participated, they were part of our association which have already participated in several activities, new people with interest in the Women's rights topic and Erasmus+ opportunities. I especially want to mention the participation of 5 underage young people, 16-17 years old with great enthusiasm and willingness to know more about the Erasmus+ program. Rocio explained about Erasmus+ program, what it is about, rules and opportunities. Paloma and Manuela shared their experience in the training, we explained some of the activities, the discussions we had, and we took some time to open a debate about the situation of women´rights and gender gap in Spain. Girls shared their aim to participate in only women's groups to share and speak about their problems, thoughts and concerns. So in Egeria Desarrollo Social we are planning to continue with this project at the local level working with young girls. Also all the participants were interested in Erasmus+ participation and they asked many questions about.

What our participants told us:

Paloma: It had been a while since I attended an Erasmus + project (even before the pandemic), I was very excited to participate due to the theme and the place, gender violence will always be one of the problems that most concerns me (for reasons obvious). At first I was not very sure because they always say that the Training Courses are much more rigorous and perhaps even boring, this was not the case at all, the time for activities and rest was very well distributed, as well as we also have activities designed for clear ourselves, de-stress and disconnect, we paint, meditate, share experiences... We touched on many interesting and important topics without reaching the point of extreme rigidity in the program, the dynamics and exercises conveyed the desired message and information very well. Just as we worked a lot, we also had a great time, there was enough time to interact with each other, as well as we had very cool excursions and activities for everyone. The city of Porto has kept a little piece of me, I would love to return, and I am also looking forward to leaving again.

Manuela: Attending this project was a very nice experience for me, the place was nice and so were the rest of the participants that were there with us. The planification of the project was correct, I enjoyed many of the sessions and activities that took place during our meetings, I consider this type of training to be very important in the Erasmus+ agenda, it's crucial that we address and approach these topics in order to create the right impact amongst youth and youth workers. The touristic activities were very fun and they took us to very beautiful and meaningful places. I carry precious memories from this exchange with me.

Rocio: From 03/01/2023 to 10/01/2023 I participated in the Erasmus+ training "Closing the gender gap and empowerment of all women Through education" in Portugal. Part of the Spanish team traveled from Málaga so we started our journey by train from Málaga to Madrid, there, we met with Maria Isabel and we took the next train to Vigo. After 12 hours of traveling we finally reached Porto bus station and finally the venue. We were tired of the travel but super excited about all the activities that will develop during the week ahead. I really enjoyed this training as the group was very open and participated a lot in the sessions, we had great debates about the topic. I need to highlight the performance of the trainers, they were very professional and friendly. All the activities were interesting and we learned a lot about the different issues related with Women's rights. About the venue and facilities, it was a great experience as the accommodations as well as the food were awesome.

Maria Isabel: This project was really interesting due to the relevance of this topic nowadays. I liked to see the point of view from every country and how was the problematic managed by them. The schedules were well settled, the hotel where we stayed and the restaurants were really good. The trip to get from Malaga to Paredes was a little long but the welcoming was very good . In global the project was good managed and had a good organization, except that sometimes the trainers got out of the topic of the exchange.
