Croatian Follow up activities

On the 30th of January in Osijek, we (Leonarda, Nadja, Nina, and Nera) held two workshops related to the previous training course "Gended Gap", in which we participated in. Fifteen youth workers participated in these two workshops.

The first workshop lasted for about an hour. It was a "Myths and Facts" workshop. It was similar to the one in Portugal. Every person in the workshop got the opportunity to express their point of view. After a short break, we conducted a workshop called "Let's Talk about Sex". Like in the training course, we discussed questions written by the people who were participating. We talked about these questions for another 45 minutes and closed the session. We think the participants were satisfied with both workshops due to the fact that everyone was speaking at one moment, and the others were supportive and respectful. By talking and debating, the participants were encouraged to think and discuss the topic of inequality in modern society.

What our participants told us about the project:

Leonarda Kul: For me, this training was a great way to learn more about the topic "Gender gap", to communicate with other participants about their views and examples from their countries on this topic.I think the project was very interesting. I learned a lot about the topic itself, and I think the workshops were excellently conducted and well thought out. We met, got closer and learned a lot from each other as well as about our cultures. I am gretful to have had such experience and would recommend it to anyone interested.

Nina Cvenić: The topic "Gended gap" for me personally is interesting and really important. There is a lot to learn about inequalities that are around us all the time, to stop them we need to be educated and act. I think the project really managed to teach us a lot about what is wrong and what is right in bussines world , family enviroment, etc. Also the workshops followed the theme perfectly. It was interesting to hear about problems related to the topic in other countries and to meet different people. It was great experience , definitely would reccomend.

Nadja Lazić: From the 3rd of January to the 11th of January, I had an opportunity to participate in the TC in Portugal. We learned a lot about gender discrimination and how omnipresent gender inequality is in our society. The training course consisted of numerous workshops that were well conducted. Other youth workers and I discussed the issues regarding this topic and also learned how to recognize gender discrimination, but also how to achieve gender equality. Even though this was not my first Erasmus experience, it was my first time participating in a training course. Furthermore, I think that every Erasmus experience is valuable. Thus, I had a great time in Portugal. It was a pleasure learning new methods and technics regarding this crucial topic. Also, it was interesting to say at least to meet different people from various countries.

Nera Pandžić: I had a great time on my Erasmus project in Portugal. This was my first training course and it was called "Gending gap". The project topic was very interesting so I got to hear many different opinions in discussions. I learned lots of new things throughout the workshops. Beside serious workshops, the participants also had the oportunity to express themselves in art therapy workshops. My favourite day was when we visited Porto and I really hope I will get the chance to go there again. I think that everybody should experience at least one Erasmus project and that is why I strongly recommend it.
