Hungary

Participants from Hungary made dissemination in 2 different kind online and in person as we describe in the following lines. The video was prepared for the follow up and dissemination activities.

ONLINE ACTIVITY:

As a dissemination activity our volunteers have organized a workshop via Zoom, on the 28th of January, from 6pm to 7pm. They have shared their experiences with local youth workers. Dani started the presentation with the introduction of the Erasmus+ programme and the opportunities provided by it. Then it was Emi's and Enikő's time to talk about the project we took part in. We listed the activities, the topics that we talked about, and what we have learned as well as some personal memories that made a bigger effect on us. Roli was the one closing the workshop; he explained the takeaways of the project, and the things about which they have changed their minds about since participating, related to the topic of gender gap. After this, the participants of the workshop had the opportunity to ask questions, while we projected pictures taken during the training course.

IN-PERSON ACTIVITY:

The final dissemination of our wonderful project by Associação Nó Górdio took place on 15.03.2023. at a small but comfortable conference room in one of the student faculties in the University of Szeged. Due to the limited space, we had to carefully select 15 participants, who were mostly BA students from the university who also had been doing some kind of community or charity work for the local community (ERASMUS volunteers, social welfare activists, etc.) Me (Dani), Enikő and Emi were the ones presenting, while Roland made the ppt and also made the pictures during the activity. We began our estimated 45 minute long presentation with describing the practical and financial aspects of youth exchanges and training courses. After that, we introduced the theme "Gender gap" by various methods that were all interactive with the actively listening audience. For example we talked about how different family issues are existing in connection with the topic, or how we should deal with gender discrimination in the workplace. We also shared our experiences about what other participants from other countries and societies experienced with gender gap. After that, we briefly talked about our own experiences as well and what values we gained from this opportunity. The estimated 5 minutes extra time for question was proved to be too short, as participants kept bombarding us with questions about the topic and the process surrounding youth exchanges and training courses. The enthusiasm was catchy, as we all also left the night with smiles and good energy. We were just as grateful and excited as our very unique audience.

What our participants said about the project:

Enikő Cserni: I had the chance to represent our country on an Erasmus+ project in Portugal. We lived in a hotel there for a week with 36 people from 9 different coutries. It was amazing to experience how others with different backgrounds thinking and how they see our society. Besides the beautiful city where it was held and the friendly participants we met, we learned a lot. Our training schedule was interesting, we had different activities in connection with gender gap and gender equality. We are grateful for this opportunity, thanks to Ifjúsági Stratégia Kutató Központ Alapítvány and to the organization of Erasmus+. You made unforgetable memories for us.

Dániel Nagy: I had the opportunity to participate in an amazing project, organized by Associação Nó Górdio. During the 'professional development activities', we gained important knowledge on how to be more aware citizens. Our programmes were hosted by great facilitators, who made us all engage together in activities that helped us reveal and discuss social inequality, especally gender gap. We all could learn about and from each other a lot, since we had amazing and motivated young people from 9 different countries. Moreover, we could also discover the beauty of Portugal, from Porto to Braha, all the way to Lisbon. Thank you for the amazing project and your hard work! ❤🇵🇹 Special thanks to our sending organization, Ifjúsági Stratégiai Kutató Központ Alapítvány !

Our days were packed with interesting workshops that demonstrated different issues tied to the topic, where discussions and group presentations were often present. We learned many things and had many discussions including reproductive rights, domestic affairs, myths and realities about gender norms. We were also able to learn about each other's country's situations regarding the gender gap. Exploring Porto was also on the agenda, which we really enjoyed. All in all we were very grateful to take part in this project, where we could extend our knowledge and our connections.

Discussions and group presentations were common features, and we had the opportunity to learn about various topics, including reproductive rights, domestic affairs, and gender norms' myths and realities. We also got to know about each other's country's unique situations regarding the gender gap. We also had a chance to explore the beautiful city of Porto, and it was an enjoyable experience.
